STEPS TO TAKE IF YOU THINK YOU MAY BE A VICTIM
Always assume every text or message is being screenshot
SPOT A SCAM:
If someone ask you for an explicit photo, DO NOT Send, block and tell a trusted adult.
If someone ask you for money, and/or gift card assume it is a scam.
If a message asks for money call and check with the friend.
LOCK DOWN ACCOUNT:
No one outside of your immediate family needs to know your location, disable location utilize ghost mode.
Set up two-factor (2FA) to log in to all accounts to keep anyone from stealing your profiles, or posting as you.
If you have not met them in person they are a stranger, not a friend or follower.
HAVE A PLAN:
Block option is power, If a conversation feels off block and end the conversation.
Always talk to an adult if you get into a digital mess, or something feels off.
DO NOT SEND MONEY: They will not delete the photos. STOP THE CONVERSATION.
**SCREENSHOT EVERYTHING** (INCLUDING ANY SCREEN NAMES USED)
DO NOT DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT, deactivate if the option exists, DO NOT DELETE, set everything to the strongest privacy setting.
TELL AN ADULT – Once you tell an adult the power is now in your hands.
Contact local police, and cybercrime enforcement
It doesn't matter what has happened.
